David Riddle grew up in Spartanburg, SC, exploring woods and creeks, fishing, camping, and otherwise just messing around outdoors. This pattern persisted, eventually taking a turn toward education, including 14 years exploring the woods with children at nature centers, then teaching middle school science for 19 years in Polk County Schools.
Always a thinker and often a writer, David creates poetry and stories, mainly memoir, and transcribes notes from the weekly Artists & Writers group that meets at Tryon Fine Arts Center. He has self-published one chapbook of poems and keeps saying he’ll eventually publish more. Who knows?
